Former Zenit head coach Vlastimil Petrzhela answered a question about Russia’s return to international tournaments.

“Will Russia be extradited to UEFA in 2023? Everything depends on Putin, this is more a question for him. If the current situation does not change, no one in Europe will want to return Russian teams to international competitions. You will have only one way – Asia. And it is not a fact that everything will be fine, ”explains Petrzhela “Rating bookmakers”.

Recall that the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to exclude the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from participation in all competitions controlled by these organizations.

The Russian national team played its last official match of the World Cup qualifying tournament in Qatar. This was in November 2021. Then the wards of Valery Karpin lost to Croatia 0: 1 and took second place in the group.

Except for Zenit, Russian clubs did not play a single match in European cups in 2022. Petersburgers stumbled on the 1/16 stage of the Europa League. The wards of Sergei Semak lost to the Spaniard “Betis” in a total of two matches 2:3.

Formerly Dmitry Guberniev said no European competitions are expected in Russia in the near future.
