Carrera wants to lead Russia national football team

Massimo Carrera, the former head coach of the Moscow “Spartak” Italian team, admitted that in the future he would not mind taking on the head of the Russian national football team.

“First of all, happy new year everyone! Would I like to lead the Russian team? Why not? I’m interested in coaching your national team,” Carrera says. “RB Sports”.

Currently, the head coach of the Russian national team is Rostov coach Valery Karpin, who recently extended his contract with the Russian Football Union (RFU).

The International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Association of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided a few months ago to exclude all Russian clubs, as well as the Russian national team, from all competitions controlled by these organizations.

Promes has been playing for Spartak since February 2021. This is his second time to the team. He played for the Red and Whites from 2014 to 2018.
