The restrictions were introduced due to numerous complaints related to AI. The authors of Unstable Diffusion openly stated that their neural network was trained on samples from ArtStation, DeviantArt, and other services.
At the same time, the developers of the neural network said that they would not deviate from their plans. They updated their site and started collecting donations using the Stripe platform. At the moment there are already more than $15,000. Note that Kickstarter was initially asking for $25,000, so the money is sure to be collected quickly.
