Valery Karpin, head coach of the Russian national team, expressed the opinion that Samara “Wings of the Sovets” striker Sergey Pinyaev can surpass the former player of “Zenith” and London “Arsenal” Andrey Arshavin. Karpin’s words tell “Match TV”.
“For 18-year-old Pinyaev, such a mature approach to everything from education to everyday life was probably unexpected. Probably a good surprise. Can Pinyaev surpass Arshavin? Maybe! For better or worse, there were many players who were given advances. “But it all depends on the player, on many factors, including his health.”
The 18-year-old midfielder became the winner of the Top Five award for the best young player of the Russian Premier League (RPL), the ceremony of which was held in Moscow on December 20.
In November, Pinyaev was called up to the Russian national team for friendly matches with Tajikistan (0:0) and Uzbekistan (0:0).
The player transferred to Wings of the Sovets in the summer of 2021. In this season of the Russian Premier League (RPL), the player has attended ten meetings, scoring three goals.
Note that the footballer has interned at Manchester United many times.
Previously reported“Wings of the Soviets” offered Pinyaev a new contract on improved terms.
