How the draw works and the single-match format of the draw for the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey 2022-2023
There will be 16 qualifiers and 32 teams will be paired: the 28 qualifiers from the second qualifier plus the four teams making their debut in this round: Barcelona, Betis, Real Madrid and Valencia.
During the draw, the second RFEF and first RFEF teams will be paired with the first and second qualifiers and the matches will be played on the field of the lower division team, which will act as local. There will be no clashes between the First Division cubes in this tie. In pairs of teams of the same category, the order of appearance in the draw will determine who is home or away.
