Former striker of Yugoslavia and Serbia national teams, former player and coach of Partizan Belgrade, Savo Milosevic, talked about his coaching career. After Partizan he worked at Olimpia from Ljubljana, currently on hiatus but hopes to return to work soon and has offers.
“I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible. I am currently in talks with a few clubs and look forward to returning to coaching in June. There are also options outside Serbia,” Milosevic told socialbites.ca.
Playing for Rubin Kazan in 2008, Serbian said that he would accept the offer of the Russian Premier League club (RPL) with great interest. He noted that the preferred option for him was CSKA, with which “Partizan” historically had friendly relations.
“One hundred percent, I would love to manage the club from the RPL. I prefer CSKA, where Partizan has fraternal relations. You know that Partizan and CSKA fans are friends.” Milosevic reminded.
He also talked about his coaching philosophy. Milosevic believes he is close to the philosophy of Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp.
“During my time at Partizan and Olimpia, the philosophy wasn’t fully formed, but it’s very close to what Jurgen Klopp did. My football philosophy is close to that. I tried to implement it in Partizan and Olimpia and I will not change this trend. This is very offensive football that requires quick transitions and quick reactions.
I wouldn’t call Klopp the best coach of our time because there are many successful experts with a different philosophy, including Josep Guardiola. He plays a different kind of football but is also one of the best.
I also have deep respect for José Mourinho, even though their team hasn’t shown great results lately. He himself never played at the highest level, but led his teams to incredible results.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most experienced managers in modern football. Everyone has a different view of football, a different view of the abilities of the players. But we can say that all these experts represent several different philosophies that dominate football.”
Former Savo Milosevic shared his opinion now St. It’s about his former teammate Sergei Semak, president of St. Petersburg “Zenith”.
