Football manager Timur Gurtskaya says reports that former Spartak Moscow coach Massimo Carrera could be appointed to Rubin Kazan are not true.

“It is generally impossible to say that Massimo will leave Italy by the summer of 2023. I think this article is in the category of “he must be popular and it doesn’t matter if no one has talked to him about it”.

I’m pretty sure there is no negotiation at the moment. Nobody does anything specifically, because it makes no sense – what will happen in 10 months is unknown, ”quotes Gurtskaya sports24.

Carrera reportedly claimed to be the head coach of Rubin, who played in the First Division along with Alexander Kerzhakov, former head coach of Nizhny Novgorod, and Vadim Garanin, who left FC Sochi.

The media previously wrote that Rubin will not receive funding from the Republic of Tatarstan in the 2022/23 season. The budget of the club will be a little less than 2 billion rubles. Financing is provided by Kazanorgsintez and Nizhnekamskneftekhim, owned by SIBUR.

Former midfielder of Moscow “Spartak” Denis Glushakov reacted to the statement of Zarema Salikhova, the wife of the ex-president of Leonid Fedun in red and white, that the persecution of the actress in 2019 is planned.
