Neuralink could start implanting chips in humans within six months. Elon Musk stated this during the Show and Tell event, which was held in the United States. Below you can see the video of the presentation.
According to him, most of the documents have already been submitted to the relevant departments of the country. They confirm the security of the technology. As for the purpose of the implant, Neuralink proposes using it to control a PC or smartphone without hands and voice. As an example, the presentation showed a monkey with an implant, who printed the phrase “Welcome” solely by the power of thought.
Musk has previously demonstrated how a monkey could play Pong using such a chip. The possibilities of the system are therefore wide.
