Colombia has four places for the maximum continental competition and another four for the ‘Other half of glory’.
The Betplay League 2022 continues to the last part of the second semester, while Dimayor confirmed the system to allocate the quotas to the Libertadores cup and the South American Cup of the following year.
The coffee country will have eight continental slots: four for the top league and another four for the Other Half of Glory, which will award the champions of the leagues and the best teams of the Reclassification.

According to the championship rules, “The BetPlay League champion club DIMAYOR I 2022 (Colombia No. 1) and the BetPlay League champion club DIMAYOR II 2022 (Colombia No. 2) will participate in the CONMEBOL LIBERTADORES of the year 2023 on behalf of Colombia.
The club that, without being the champion of the BetPlay DIMAYOR I League 2022 or the BetPlay DIMAYOR II League 2022, takes the best position in the Total Reclassification Table of the BetPlay DIMAYOR League 2022 becomes (Colombia No. 3). The last slot (Colombia No. 4) will be obtained by the championship club of the BetPlay DIMAYOR Cup 2022″.

It is worth remembering that the regulation contains seven additional paragraphs related to the distribution of quotas among the Libertadores, depending on the different circumstances of the championships.

According to the regulation, “They will participate in the SOUTH AMERICA CONMEBOL of the year 2023 on behalf of Colombia as Colombia No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4, the clubs that occupy the best position in the Total Reclassification Table of La Liga. BetPlay DIMAYOR 2022 as applicable and who have not obtained a place in CONMEBOL Libertadores 2023.”
