The USA team faced the Iranian team in the final round match of the 2022 World Cup group stage held in Qatar.
The match, which took place at the Al-Tumama stadium, ended 1-0 in favor of the Americans. In the 38th minute, midfielder Christian Pulisic scored the only goal.
In a parallel match, England beat Wales 3-0. Thus, the British entered the play-offs of the tournament from the first place with seven points in Group B. Team USA finished second in the group with five points, Iran third with three points and Wales fourth with one point.
Today, on November 30, the final round matches will be played in Group C: Poland – Argentina, Saudi Arabia – Mexico, as well as in Four D: Australia – Denmark and Tunisia – France.
The World Championship started on November 20 and will run until December 18, 2022. The tournament takes place in eight stadiums in five cities. The final match will be played at the National Stadium.
