Who Alireza Faghani?
FIFA has regarded the Kashmar-born 44-year-old as an international referee since 2008, although his first match in that category came a year later: on April 16, 2009, he had to direct the match between the Maldives and the Philippines. His career started as a player and reached the third tier of the Iranian league before deciding to follow in the footsteps of his father Mohammed at the referee
Among his international participations, he stands out for the 2014 AFC Champions League Final, the 2015 Asian Cup Final, the 2015 Club World Cup Final which River lost to Barcelona. In total, he registered 339 matches, in which he showedor 1229 yellow cards and 26 red. He conceded 95 penalties.
