It seems that Sony has set a rough release date for the PS6 – the release is expected in 2027 or 2028, according to a document made public as part of an investigation by the UK antitrust regulator. He looks at Microsoft’s upcoming acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

The document says the deal will harm competition, industry players and users as it “intensifies competition in a market that Sony has long dominated”.
In addition, the Japanese company claims that it “could lose access to the license Call of Duty and other Activision games” in 2027, when the next generation PlayStation is released.
If true, the PS6 will debut 7 years after the PS5, which is slightly longer than the lifecycle of previous generations of the PlayStation. Are you looking forward to Sony’s new console?
