Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Aljamain Sterling commented on his victory over Russian Petr Yan.
“My feelings are just a roller coaster. I don’t know where one of the judges was looking, but it was a great fight. All my family and all my loved ones are here, so emotions overwhelm me,” Sterling said at a press conference.
Recall that Yang lost the war by a split decision. The meeting lasted five rounds.
Yang made 19 appearances in his professional UFC career and suffered three defeats. Sterling made 24 games for himself and lost three times.
The first fight between Yan and Sterling took place in March 2021 and ended with the Russians disqualified for illegal strike. After this fight, Peter fought the American Cory Sandhagen and won unanimously. Sterling hasn’t stepped into the octagon since.
