Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commented on the decision of the International Football Federation (FIFA) to recognize Russian as one of the official languages ​​of the organization.

“We expect greater awareness of the international sports community of the fact that the development of world sports is absolutely impossible without the participation of Russia. We hope that this step of this structure will be a positive impetus for other international sports organizations and federations to review and abandon discriminatory measures against our athletes.” TASS.
