Reports about the potential liquidation of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy have circulated across Poland. The current opposition would establish a ministry focused on “equality.” Mariusz Błaszczak weighed in on these plans being proposed by the opposing party.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense highlighted the achievements of the Ministry of Family during the PiS government, noting its long-standing focus on social equality.
The Ministry of Family under the PiS government has long prioritized equal opportunities for those at a disadvantage and laid the groundwork for improving overall living standards. Critics argue that without this ministry, essential programs like 800+ and toddler subsidies, as well as the 13th and 14th retirement pay programs, might not exist. The assertion remains that these initiatives formed a core part of the social safety net.

In response to the proposal to establish a ministry for equality, Błaszczak described the plan as an attack on Polish families, suggesting it would serve as a financial shelter for various ideological supporters.
