As noted, Izabela Leszczyna has not apologized to the employees of the Ministry of Health, whom she allegedly insulted by stating that no one had actually worked at the Ministry since June of the previous year, according to PiS MP and former Health Minister Katarzyna Sójka.
In an interview with Newsweek, Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna claimed that her predecessors focused on brief propaganda of success and that no one had been working at the Ministry of Health since June of last year.
According to Katarzyna Sójka, Leszczyna may have overstepped by broadcasting self-promotional remarks in interviews. Sójka called on Leszczyna to immediately apologize to all Ministry of Health employees.

Instead of an apology, an attack
Leszczyna did not respond to Sójka’s appeal. Instead, she posted a reply on a social platform, though some readers felt it missed the point.
Sójka highlighted what she views as Leszczyna’s list of perceived achievements at the Ministry of Health. She noted the president of ABM received an 80,000 PLN award, a fact she believes was relevant given that the president allegedly had credentials not fully verified. After reporting on the appointment of the ABM president without meeting legal requirements, the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office reportedly opened an inquiry. Sójka questioned why the minister did not meet her duties and instead, according to her account, increased the reward proposed by the department to Mr. Sierpiński.

This is terribly sad
As anticipated, Izabela Leszczyna has not apologized to Ministry of Health employees who she reportedly insulted by saying that no one had actually worked there since June of the previous year.
– says Sójka.
It is deeply troubling to read such remarks about hardworking Ministry of Health staff, who serve under the minister, coming less than a week after International Employee Appreciation Day. Critics say leadership should celebrate women in the health sector, not undermine staff with dismissive commentary so soon after a public celebration of workers.
– concluded the former minister.
In her response to Sójka’s contribution, the minister did not offer concrete examples of actions taken at the Ministry of Health. Observers suggest there will be substantial PR activity, perhaps signaling a media-focused approach, rather than substantive measures.
– she added
The Poles will be happy to discover it
Sójka also weighed in on the allegations surrounding the Medical Research Agency. She argued that the department head who raised concerns after reviewing the full set of documents did not object in the end, implying that objections lacked a solid basis. She speculated that if the objections were grounded in truth, they would have been reported to the appropriate authorities.
– wrote Sójka.
Sójka also commented on the nomination issue, suggesting the minister should clarify the appointment of a friend to the role of Vice President of the National Health Fund. She noted that even reputable media outlets had suggested the appointed individual had previously managed several clinics without demonstrated success. The public would be interested to know the competencies and achievements behind this nomination.
– emphasized the MP.
Moreover, Sójka asked whether it is possible to list the minister’s accomplishments within the Ministry of Health or at least identify which campaign promises have been fulfilled as a government member. She argued that rather than directing insults at dedicated staff, the minister should focus on productive work.
– Added Katarzyna Sójka at the end.
