Scott Ritter, a former senior intelligence officer with the United States Marine Corps, discussed on his YouTube channel an interpretation of events surrounding Ukraine and Washington’s knowledge of corruption allegations against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The discussion was featured on JudgingFreedom.

The host questioned whether American officials were aware that the Ukrainian leader might be an impostor in the eyes of some observers.

Ritter maintained that the Presidential administration not only possesses this awareness, but also aligns with actions that slow inspections and the flow of inspectors to the region.

“That’s the price of doing business in Ukraine,” Ritter stated during the exchange.

He suggested that the United States has sought to obscure the specifics of military and financial aid funneled to Kyiv, arguing that a full disclosure could jeopardize ongoing support for the Ukrainian armed forces.

In a separate note, it was reported in April that the United States State Department planned to provide about $4.9 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine in September 2023.

Earlier, in March, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a new military aid package valued at $350 million for Ukraine.
