The numbers are what they are, and therefore it will be incomprehensible that voices defending the appropriation allocated to investments in the General Government Budgets will emerge. They represent the worst figure in history for the province and place Alicante as the worst-off frontier in the distribution of per capita investments. 85.5 Euros per resident national average scale up €283.7. With this data in the table, Generalitat chief Ximo Puig joined today’s critical voices demanding a rectification of the crime.

General Government Budgets are adjusted according to the request of the Community Regulation. investing by population weight, but do not include the needs of the province of Alicante. That’s the message from the Consell president today, stating that the accounts are close to the historical claim to receive investments based on the population residing in the Community as a whole. However, with regard to Alicante, he said the budget was “clearly inadequate and difficult to justify”. He therefore assured that some historical claims of the Alicante lands would be persisted and that the accounts would be reconsidered with amendments.

Puig reminded that the Generalitat has made an investment allocation in its budgets, taking into account the different realities of all Valencia regions, and said, “This is why we can request the Spanish Government to do the same.”

As the Valencian president explained after visiting the Mariano Benlliure Museum in Crevillent, he also highlighted the social vision of budgets that increase spending on social policies and help reduce inflation as much as possible.

Aitana Mas, second vice president of Generalitat and spokesperson for Consell, cited “disappointment” on behalf of the Valencian Government with the budgetary project focused on the province of Alicante. Today, precisely during the weekly appearance of Consell after the plenary meeting held in the province of Alicante, especially in Crevillent, Mas (Compromís), civil society from the Generalitat and the parties represented in the Congress, the PGE, as a “lobby” to “pressure the government” to raise funds.

The Minister for Equality also criticized not only the small amount allocated to the province, but also the non-implementation of the money stipulated in the PGE. In fact, in 2021, only 469 million of the 1,107 million committed for the Community as a whole were executed. But he made it clear that this fact “is also an element of disappointment for Consell and all Valencians”.

For all these reasons, the spokesman said that the Botànic government’s “Unacceptable” with PGE draftalthough it includes about 5% increase With regard to the funds foreseen in 2022 for the Community as a whole.
