Russian naval support vessels were sighted in the Baltic Sea near leaks from Nord Stream on Monday and Tuesday, CNN reported, citing two Western intelligence officials and a source linked to the case.

The US does not know who was behind the explosions?
It’s unclear if the ships had anything to do with these explosions, reports said, but this is a thread researchers will investigate. An intelligence official also said Russian units were also sighted near these areas last week.
Three U.S. officials, CNN reports, said the U.S. did not know who may have been behind the possible explosions that leaked two pipelines on Sunday and Monday. Russian ships routinely operate in this area, said a Danish military official quoted by CNN, who emphasized that their presence does not necessarily prove that Russia is responsible for the damage.
We see them every week
– said the Danish army.
Russian activity in the Baltic Sea has increased in recent years. They test our vigilance quite often – both at sea and in the air.
An investigation into Denmark and Sweden
CNN said Denmark and Sweden are investigating the leak. An on-site inspection has not yet been carried out and information is still scarce. An official said the Danish government’s assessment would be awaited because pressure in the pipes made it difficult to approach the site of the leak, but another informant said the investigation into the cause could begin next Sunday.
The Danish and Swedish prime ministers said on Tuesday the leaks were likely the result of deliberate actions. On Wednesday, the Swedish security service said it was likely that “a foreign authority was behind this”. US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan called the leaks “clear sabotage.”
Officially, however, senior Western officials refrain from attributing the attack on the gas pipelines to Russia or any other country.
As always, the Kremlin denies it
The Kremlin has publicly denied hitting the pipelines. His spokesman called the accusation “predictably stupid and absurd.”
A gas leak was discovered on Monday from two Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. The spill occurred at one location on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline southeast of Bornholm and at two locations on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline northeast of Bornholm. The monitoring station of the Swedish National Seismological Network (SNSN) on Monday registered two severe underwater explosions in areas where leaks were found.
