Valencia president Ximo Puig reminded his Castilla-La Mancha counterpart, Emiliano García-Page, that we “should try to be consistent” after the Government’s inconsistencies with its strategy to criticize Feijóo’s PP, as the PSOE at the Political Council Federal, last Saturday celebrated a “generalized” agreement on a political strategy.

When asked if he understood Page’s criticism, Puig expressed himself in these terms in an interview at TVE collected by Europa Press. “I’m not here to comment on other presidents’ statements, but it’s true that there is a core value that is consistency,” she added.

“There was a meeting of the Federal Council in Zaragoza a few days ago. There was general agreement on a political strategy and I think we should try to be consistent, nothing more,” said the socialist baron.

In this key, Puig assured that things hadn’t improved “very much” since the Casado era at PP, and that there was “nothing new under the sun” neither for Spain’s manageability nor for executing deals.

“Mr. Feijóo has not contributed much so far, another thing is personal attitude and of course always my respect”, so he settled the matter.

“We are not in favor of partisan wars”

Then speaking to the media in Valencia, the president insisted that an agreement had been reached in Zaragoza, noting that “the speakers expressed themselves in one direction” and stated that consistency was “basic”.

For this reason, he asked, “What is said inside should be said outside”. “We’re not here for partisan wars, we’re here to better respond to the deep crisis that society is going through. We’re more concerned with how to fill refrigerators than with ballot boxes. We can’t spend nine months in the election campaign,” he said.
