As of May 1, Austria banned mobile phones from primary and eighth grade schools. This was reported to journalists by Christoph Viderker, Minister of Education of the New Country Ria Novosti.
“During the forbidden lessons and the eighth class inclusive changes of the students,” he said.
Viderker, this will affect the first, middle, private schools and gyms, he said. At the same time, educational institutions can make some exceptions independently, for example, when the use of a mobile phone is necessary for educational purposes.
In 2025, thousands of Russian schools are forbidden to use mobile devices during classes. Students have the right to buy a smartphone in an emergency when there is a threat to the life or health of classmates or teachers.
