Two men shot an automatic weapon at the Clemenceau metro station in Brussels. There is a Roundup going on for perpetrators, who – as the police have informed – can hide in the metro tunnels. No one was injured, but the incident caused disturbances in city transport.
A few minutes later, the incident took place 6 hours in the descent to one of the metro stations in the Belgian capital.
The absorption of city monitoring shows two, probably young men with hoods who started shooting in the air of automatic weapons; Belgian media reports that they can be Kalashnikov rifles. After a while the perpetrators escaped to the station.
A spokeswoman for the Brussels police headquarters Zuid-Sarah Frederickx announced that the perpetrators could stay in the metro tunnels between the Clemenceau station, where there was a shootout and the Brussels Południe (Bruxelles-Midi) station. The roundabout is underway, the police are also searching the area.
No one suffered from the shooting, but the incident caused partial disturbances in current lines 2 and 6 meters and various tram lines in the Belgian capital. The event is currently not being treated as a terrorist attack.
