Marcin Możdżonek, former captain of the Polish national volleyball team, currently councilor of Olsztyn and chairman of the Supreme Hunting Council, commented on the response of the services in the case of people who threatened Jerzy Owsiak. “Can someone give me the phone number of the investigators👇? Because those dealing with the threats to shoot my sons by a ‘tolerant’ bastard haven’t been able to find him since February last year,” he wrote on the X platform .
Last month, a 71-year-old man was arrested and charged with making criminal threats against Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity founder Jerzy Owsiak. This is not the only person arrested for this reason. In recent days the media also reported about a 38-year-old who offered 100,000. PLN for shooting the leader of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. In comments posted online, Owsiak was also threatened by Izabela M., who was detained like both men.

While anyone who makes criminal threats will certainly face consequences, many commentators pointed out that we were dealing with an exceptionally quick and efficient response from the services. Jerzy Owsiak is not the only famous and beloved person who received threats, but before information about the arrests appeared, he had already found the “culprits” himself – in conservative media, including Telewizja wPolce24, whose journalists appeared at the WOŚP headquarters to get answers to questions about the orchestra’s assistance to flood victims, as well as about Telewizja Republika, which urged viewers to support conservative television instead of WOŚP. Politicians from the Ruling Coalition sympathize with Owsiak and accuse the conservative media and the opposition, especially PiS, of inspiring attacks on the leader of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
