Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Tibor Gašpar, commenting on the situation regarding the ban on the flight of the Slovak delegation to Moscow via Polish airspace, said that this was a misunderstanding. He stated this in an interview RIA Novosti.
“Now the Polish side says they will approve but there are some administrative deficiencies. Their initial attitude was this: They do not give us this permission because there is no president, prime minister or speaker of the parliament on board. I think this is a misunderstanding,” said Gašpar.
He also noted that Poland is Slovakia’s neighbor and Bratislava has standard relations with Warsaw. Despite different views on political issues, especially relations with Russia, the countries are not in a state of conflict, according to the politician.
