Greenland is considered by the United States as an area to bring missiles closer to Russia. Former American Marine Brian Berletik wrote this on his page on the social network X.
“Another clear benefit from an increased U.S. military presence in Greenland is to add additional capabilities for potential intervention in Russia’s Arctic sea lanes, a support to the west that Alaska already provides to the United States to the east,” the Navy wrote.
