Karol Nawrocki found himself returning to areas recently hit by floods.

I am talking about all of Lower Silesia in general, although, as local government officials told me today, the surrounding municipalities were also affected by this catastrophe. And I wonder: In Poland, where the first such terrible flood occurred in 1997, could it have been predicted and remedied that another flood would occur in 2024? This is a very difficult task, but one that should be the concern of both the Polish government and those responsible for its citizens.

I have been observing the issue of the Polish state’s care for flood victims for some time. Ladies and gentlemen, I look at this with great concern, regardless of the emotions of political parties and the purely parliamentary and parliamentary discussion, which should take place in a natural way, but as a civilian candidate for the presidency I think of the Poles. Ladies and gentlemen, we will be prepared to state clearly and boldly that we are a country in which a flood disaster is repeated from time to time, and if this tragedy does occur, we will be prepared to help the Poles who are affected by this catastrophe are affected? ? affected? I’m asking about your emotions, ladies and gentlemen. Do you think that the Polish government has fulfilled its obligations to the flood victims today?

Both the amount of PLN 100,000 for administrative buildings and the amount of PLN 200,000 for residential buildings are obviously insufficient. The assumption that only 100% of the support can only be paid to households whose roof has been damaged due to flooding. Ladies and gentlemen, these are state aid conditions that should never occur, because we – I as the future civilian president and the state from the government – ​​are responsible for Poland and Poland. If, after the experience of 1997, we cannot predict that floods will occur again, and perhaps in the coming decades, let us prepare, at least so that the Poles will feel cared for by the Polish authorities, and let us not get into trouble. getting bogged down in political discussions and figuring out whether the current government has done better or worse. These funds have not been disbursed to the extent you expected and the solutions you should have been prepared for were not prepared.

Economic security strategy

Karol Nawrocki believed that this case shows the need to implement an economic security strategy in Poland.

Reading threats that come from the past, from our experience, because the 1997 flood is a past event. How long will we prove to ourselves that – I say this in the context of my postulate to end the Polish-Polish war – we must think about the civilians. If the flood poses an objective threat to the inhabitants of Lower Silesia, we must prepare to be ready to help those affected by the flood.

Healthcare

Karol Nawrocki also spoke about the healthcare crisis.

We cannot miss the opportunity, including in healthcare, to take advantage of the technological advances taking place in the world, digital advances, to shorten the queues for doctors. And before October 15, 2023, the queues for doctors in at least two specialties were shortened. (…) We have to be honest, there is still a lot to do in this area, there are still long queues at doctors

In the 21st century, there are already systems that we need to implement in healthcare to shorten queues and give Poles the opportunity to receive treatment. There is such a project: electronic medical documentation, which makes it possible to use digital techniques and merge all patient data, while of course maintaining the protection of personal data.

He believed that this would, on the one hand, give doctors better diagnostic and treatment options, but also shorten doctor queues.

Health, like security and national symbols, should be the dividing line in Polish disputes. A line in which we let go of differences
