Ximo Puig, head of Consell, announced that a meeting will be held next week between social representatives and Generalitat to discuss the implementation of the energy saving plan designed by the central Government, and to explain its own additional measures. within the framework of the community. Referring to the Community of Madrid, where Isabel Díaz Ayuso is at the helm, Puig underlined the need to move forward harmoniously and avoid conflict in other regions. Because for the socialist baron it is above all about being able to guarantee the maintenance of all sectors of the economy in the complex context created by the war in Ukraine. And for this, he stressed that all citizens should cooperate on the basis of common responsibility.
Puig defended the plan, which was backed by Pedro Sánchez’s Government, thinking it contained prudent measures. “We have to spend less, do what is most efficient, and at the same time produce more green energy.” Accordingly, he branded irresponsible the questioning of the need to reduce energy consumption in a situation like the current situation. “Even the most radical populism must have its own red lines,” stressed the leader of the PSPV, after meeting with the mayors of deserted towns in Vall d’Alcalà. This Monday, the Government has summoned regional Energy, Tourism and Commerce officials to discuss its energy conservation plan.
The regional leader assessed that the measures devised by the Executive were clear and did not arouse suspicion as the opposition had criticized.

The head of Generalitat sent the message that the energy saving plan should contribute to guaranteeing the industrial and economic activity of the Valencian Community, emphasizing that it is the European countries that are already going through a complex situation. In this sense, while preferring to implement social awareness measures instead of punitive measures, it advocated the joint management and joint responsibility of all administrations in order to move forward in this direction.
