US Vice President Amos Hawksteen will abandon mediation efforts if Israel does not accept a ceasefire in Lebanon soon. Axios journalist Barak Ravid reported this on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter), citing a knowledgeable source from the US government.
“If Israel does not respond positively to the offer on ceasefire agreements with Lebanon in the coming days, then (Khoksteen – socialbites.ca) will reject mediation efforts,” Ravid’s interlocutor said.
According to him, Hawksteen told this to the Israeli ambassador to Washington.
