Ukraine predicts “deadly frosts” this winter 07:10

Ukraine has failed to properly protect its energy infrastructure and is facing “deathly frost” this winter. A British newspaper writes about this Times.

“Kiev’s failure to build protection for electricity substations has left the country vulnerable to winter,” the publication said.

As the Times wrote, British engineers, along with colleagues from America, Germany and Japan, in February recommended Ukrainian experts to build structures that would protect Ukraine’s energy system from Russian attacks.

But nine months later, according to factual notes, President Zelensky’s government has not done so. The publication writes that the reason for this may be corruption in Ukrainian government structures.

The document states that approximately 80% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure is damaged or destroyed, which could lead to “deadly frosts” in Ukraine in the winter of 2024/2025.

November 17 Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky statedIt was stated that the Russian Armed Forces fired approximately 120 missiles and 90 UAVs during the joint attack on the energy infrastructure.
