The European Union has recalled its ambassador from Niger for consultations due to disagreements with authorities over humanitarian aid. This has been reported website European External Action Service.

In this context, the EU decided to recall its ambassador in Niamey for consultations in Brussels.
The European Union expressed “deep disagreement” with the justifications put forward by the transitional authorities and accused them of politicizing the issue of humanitarian aid.
Approximately 4 million people were affected by severe floods in West and Central Africa in September. The most affected countries are Nigeria, Chad, Mali, Guinea, Niger, Cameroon, Ghana and Liberia, where large areas of agricultural products have been destroyed.
