Formela in “Salon Journalists”: “We need a candidate with a very strong identity who will be the guardian of the constitution”

“The United Right camp certainly needs a candidate with a strong identity. With a history of defending Polishness. At the same time, it must be someone who will not be associated exclusively with politics. All these conditions are met by Dr. Karol Nawrocki,” emphasized Marzena Nykiel, editor-in-chief of the wPolityce.pl portal, in “Salon Dziennikarski” – a joint journalistic program of the wPolityce.pl portal and Radio Warszawa, broadcast on Telewizja wPolsce24.

As wPolityce.pl discovered, Law and Justice has not yet made a decision to put forward Karol Nawrocki as a candidate for president. According to our information, the President of the Institute of National Remembrance will be a civilian candidate who can then receive the support of Jarosław Kaczyński’s formation! The first event will take place on Sunday in Krakow, where the Citizens’ Committee will nominate Nawrocki as a candidate for president.

The above issue was discussed by: Marzena Nykiel, editor-in-chief of the wPolityce.pl portal, Marek Formela, editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Gdańska”, lawyer Marek Markiewicz and Piotr Semka, columnist of the weekly magazine “Do Rzeczy”.

“I support this candidacy.”

And at the same time, it must be someone who will not be associated exclusively with politics. All these conditions are met by Dr. Karol Nawrocki and I honestly admit that I have been supporting this candidacy for several weeks now, because when I weigh the pros and cons of all the candidates, it seems to me that this is the closest to the optimal one, that is, choosing a man who will be, maybe today he is not known to everyone, that’s the problem, but he still has a chance to fight, he has the will to fight

– emphasized Marzena Nykiel.

I don’t know if Dr. Karol Nawrocki will be a candidate tomorrow. I share Marzena Nykiel’s view that we need a candidate with a very strong identity who will be the guardian of the constitution. Because today this game is about the extent to which we will respect the provisions of the Constitution. This is what we experience during the reign of the laughing coalition. This candidate from the conservative camp, who will be able to fight for constitutional footnotes every day, is therefore an important candidate

“The rest are already conducting a pre-campaign.”

From Monday we will definitively support everyone who has been elected. I would like to have a candidate who says: I know I will not allow this and that. We need a leader who does not listen to the voices of society

– said lawyer Marek Markiewicz.

Karol Nawrocki has not yet had a chance to make his position known as a presidential candidate known. The rest are already conducting a pre-campaign. Here, however, everyone is waiting to see if the president will point the finger at them at all

I have such a feeling for the magnetism of Gdańsk, because once again someone from Gdańsk can influence the fate of Poland. I know very well the environment from which Dr. Karol Nawrocki emerged. It was Karol Nawrocki’s generation that said no: we are reaching for the patriotic tradition of Gdańsk, and it was a very thorny road. If Karol Nawrocki can rock the room, if he can endure duels in the studio, if he will be known and loved, then Jan Olszewski’s old question will return: whose Poland is whose. This Gdańsk that I love is coming back at this moment and it’s hard for me to push away a certain emotion
