“For eight years, Law and Justice threw me against the walls. I have participated in the most difficult campaigns of the past decade. I just stay calm. Toughness does not mean that someone uses very harsh rhetoric,” Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski argued.
Warsaw mayor and potential Civic Coalition candidate Rafał Trzaskowski continues to build his story that he was allegedly a victim of the Law and Justice campaign.
Active, tough and courageous
This time he used this issue when he responded on Polsat News to the words of his opponent in the primaries, Radosław Sikorski, who argued that the president should be “active, tough and courageous.”
And as an example of his toughness, he pointed to… resistance to criticism from Law and Justice.
For eight years, Law and Justice threw me against the walls. I have participated in the most difficult campaigns of the past decade. I just stay calm. Toughness is not about someone who uses very harsh rhetoric
– he said.
Trzaskowski didn’t hesitate to give Sikorski another pin. He pointed out that all previous polls show him ahead of the foreign minister, including among the conservative electorate, which in theory should be more supportive of his opponent’s candidacy.
Election campaign
Previously, Chairman of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia announced that the election campaign would officially start on January 8.
However, Rafał Trzaskowski stated that if he is elected as a candidate of the Civic Coalition, he will start his campaign on December 7 during the inauguration in Gliwice.
If I were elected, we would start the campaign in Gliwice on December 7. Of course I’m ready. I’ve actually been ready for it since 2020
– he said.
However, it is worth noting that Rafał Trzaskowski has been campaigning for several weeks and started his tour of Poland even before the primaries in the Civic Coalition were announced.
This case raises many questions about who funds these events.
