KO MP Artur Łącki, during the parliamentary debate on the citizens’ bill amending the Animal Protection Act and amending certain other laws, at one point took over the fate of the carp, i.e. the fish eaten by many Poles during the Christmas Eve meal. He addressed the young people in the parliamentary gallery to gain their support for his claims. The reaction of young people was certainly not what the KO politician had expected.
Let’s do a little experiment! There are young people in the gallery. Would you like to take home and slaughter a live carp before Christmas Eve?!
– he shouted from the parliamentary rostrum Artur Łąckiaddressing the young people gathered in the Sejm Gallery.
At that moment there were loud shouts of… “yes!” This was certainly not the reaction the KO MP was counting on.

Of course we want to buy it alive, let it swim in the bathtub and then put it in the frying pan
