I am sorry to see that the Civic Platform, the PSL, Mr Hołownia’s movement and the left are again on the side of defending criminals. Because it involves tougher sentences for this most dangerous of the most dangerous criminals. (…) We want the perpetrators of rape with particular cruelty to be assured of higher penalties. Today is fifteen, and this is a terrible crime. We want it to be a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. We propose solutions that affect the mafia, organized crime groups. He also commented on the introduction of provisions that would remove some of the privileges of inmates in prisons.
For a long time political circles – the Platform and others – have succumbed to the ideology that prisons should be like sanatoriums, and prisoners are not snorkelers and dangerous criminals, but patients. That is why we are taking away some of the privileges that the perpetrators of the crimes have received

The justice minister recalled that thanks to the changes his ministry has introduced, the vast majority of detainees are working while serving their sentences.

He also spoke about the increasing level of security in Poland.
