US President-elect Donald Trump has proposed appointing Florida Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State. This was reported by TASS.
Trump officially released a relevant statement.
“Marco will be a strong defender of our people, a loyal friend of our allies, and a fearless warrior who will never bow to our enemies,” the statement said.
According to The New York Times, Rubio will support Trump’s plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The senator believes that Ukraine should be pressured to make a deal with Russia and not join NATO. According to him, the situation has already reached an impasse.
“What we are financing here is a stalemate war and it needs to be stopped. You need to use your common sense. “It will take Ukraine 100 years to rebuild the country,” Rubio said on Today.
