Presidents of Costa Rica and El Salvador, Rodrigo Chavez and Nayib Bukele, proposed the establishment of a union of small states for the security of their people. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“We will formulate joint proposals for the rest of the world and the new US government,” the Costa Rican president said at a briefing.

The name “League of Nations” was suggested by President Bukele. Chavez recalled the history of the Hanseatic League, when the united free cities of Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea “became islands of prosperity.”

Bukele announced the construction of a league headquarters where political leaders from different countries interested in the well-being of their citizens could gather.
