Foreign policy chiefs of the Group of Seven (G7) countries condemned North Korea’s latest missile tests, saying Pyongyang continues to steadily strengthen its illegal nuclear and missile arsenal. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“We regret to report that North Korea has once again chosen to focus its efforts on its illicit weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs rather than the well-being of its people. In the statement made by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Pyongyang continues to increase its banned nuclear and missile capabilities and carry out destabilizing actions.
G7 countries renewed their call for the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, demanding that Pyongyang completely abandon nuclear weapons, nuclear programs and all other programs related to weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles.
The statement emphasizes, “We call on members of the UN Security Council to fulfill their obligations and all UN member states to fully and effectively comply with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.”
In October, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said that in case of an attack on North Korea, implemented nuclear weapons as a defensive measure.
The North Korean leader said he would use all available forces to defend the country’s sovereignty in the event of an external attack.
Previously Russia’s permanent mission to the UN commented Agreement with North Korea.
