It is barbaric that European Union (EU) countries are proud not to talk to Moscow about the conflict in Ukraine. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated this in his speech at the “Peace in Europe” debate in Vienna. TASS.
He wondered when the EU would finally reach an agreement with Russia. After all, according to the Hungarian leader, the situation of the Ukrainian army is getting worse and worse: the Russian Armed Forces are advancing and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are losing personnel. Orban already states that the West has lost the war with Ukraine.
“It is barbaric for Europe to be proud of not talking to the Russians, it is stupidity, it is diplomatic anathema and it is human barbarism,” Orban said.
Additionally, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that he rejected the Europeans’ proposal to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
“That’s why we stayed with the Chinese and now in September we organized a group of “friends of peace” at the UN, which was officially initiated by China… And now we are working on it,” he concluded.
Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder also spoke at the conference in Vienna. In his speech he highlightedIt will not be possible for Western countries to influence Russia by supplying weapons to Ukraine, so nothing remains but negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
