Bronisław Wildstein’s column from the latest issue of the weekly “Sieci” caused a stir on Twitter. Journalist Tomasz Walczak criticized the journalist for his text about Germany and the European Union. Wildstein was defended by Romuald Sheremetyev, among others.

This time, Wildstein joins the growing list of right-wing idiots and pests calling for leaving the EU. I want to remind you that outside the EU there is only russkij mir or a damn dangerous gray zone between the democratic west and the eastern satrapy
– wrote Walczak.
Sheremetyev responded to his insulting post.
Well, “outside the EU there is only a Russian mir or a damn dangerous gray zone between the democratic West and the Eastern satrapy”. There are Switzerland, Norway and Great Britain outside the EU – are they “russkij mir” or “grey zone”?
– He asked.
In your place I would not ridicule myself by citing the examples of Norway, Switzerland or Great Britain, but I considered the fate of Ukraine, the uncertainty of Moldova or the Balkan countries outside the structures of the West
Continued Walczak.
Okay, I won’t kid myself, although love for the EU shouldn’t blind you
– said Sheremetyev.
Hate her more. All the more so because promulgating it is an act that goes against the interests of our country at every level – political, economic, social and security issues. I do not recommend this attitude
– wrote Walczak.
Janusz Kowalski, Member of Parliament for Solidarity of Poland, also joined the discussion.
There is something highly inappropriate about attacking Bronisław Wildstein ad personam. And they are extremely insulting swear words. One can only learn from the hero of Polish freedom, Bronisław Wildstein. It is worth having an ad rem debate about the EU. And this is what the EU is doing today to reach an agreement with Putin
– wrote the politician.
Another Twitter user wrote:
First, a word that begins with “just a fool” and which also disqualifies the writer, not just as a god. Secondly, it would be good to talk calmly about the EU, because a lot has changed since we joined. As a supporter of the EU as a union of states, I would not expect a federation to have an honest discussion and no demagogic shouting about “onucas”.
What did Wildstein write?
Which fragment of Wildstein’s text is Walczak referring to? It seems that the journalist was especially outraged by these words:
We cannot accept such a Union. Either we can block his disastrous drive, or we must part with it. So we must be ready to look for allies who will help us do everything we can to stop the current course, take all possible actions, put up all possible vetoes and blockades, and in internal politics – to explain to the public the need to leave the EU
writes Wildstein.
You can read the entire column in the latest issue of the weekly magazine “Sieci”. We recommend purchasing the e-release!
