WAT President Duda: I believe that the coming academic year will result in the preparation of the next generation of officers

On Wednesday, Andrzej Duda took part in the inauguration of the 2024/2025 Academic Year at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.

I believe that the beginning of the academic year will result in the preparation of the next generation of officers who, after graduating from WAT, will assume positions of responsibility in the Polish Armed Forces.

Difficult tasks

He expressed the hope that the research at the Military University of Technology, the implemented projects and inventions will contribute to the modernization of the army and the improvement of the service conditions of soldiers. At the same time, he will emphasize that contemporary reality, due to its unpredictability and changeability, poses exceptionally difficult tasks for military universities. That is why – as he added – he appreciates the creation of new units at WAT dealing with innovative fields.

Studying at WAT is a real prestige that comes from the reputation of this university

The Military University of Technology, established by law of 1951, is a public academic university under the supervision of the Minister of National Defense. As an open technical university, it serves the Polish Armed Forces, science, economy and society by educating students, developing scientific and teaching staff and conducting scientific research and development work in the fields of exact, technical and social sciences.
