“Kinga Gajewska receives 4,000 PLN from the Chancellery of the Sejm to rent an apartment in Warsaw. Arkadiusz Myrcha, Deputy Minister of Justice and private spouse of the MP, will also receive PLN 3,750 for this. The total amount is PLN 7,750 per month,” Radosław Karbowski reported on the X website. The Civic Platform MPs have been married for several years. Gajewska tries to explain this in an interview for Interia.
Kinga Gajewska stated before the 2023 parliamentary elections that she lives in Błonie, from where the train ride to the Sejm takes an hour according to Google maps
– adds Radosław Karbowski, noting that the data comes from the Chancellery of the Sejm as of August 31.
On Thursday I asked the Member of Parliament for comment on this, but so far I have not received it
– said Radosław Karbowski.
“We subsidize the rental
How does the KO MP explain himself?
My husband and I rent a two-room apartment in Warsaw, located near the Sejm, a daycare center and a kindergarten. We pay extra rent
– Kinga Gajewska, wife of the Deputy Minister and mother of three children, to Interia.
We are building a house near Warsaw, we will move in when construction is completed
– she added.
Under the applicable regulations, MPs who are not registered in the capital and do not have an apartment in Warsaw are entitled to housing in the Parliament of Deputies. If this is not possible, parliamentarians can also rent an apartment.
The cost of renting private accommodation under the Chancellery of the Sejm cannot exceed the cost of accommodation in the House of Representatives, i.e. PLN 4,000 per month.
– we read on the parliamentary websites.
““You’re doing damage.”
I’m wondering one thing. How do all these psychofans (to say the least) of the ruling coalition combine the fact that the topic of Kinga Gajewska and Arkadiusz Myrcha was presented to me by PiS with the fact that PiS has serious financial problems? Logically, if I counted on any benefits, I should stay close to the coalition and join PiS. I don’t expect a logical answer from them, because the platform hasn’t existed there for a long time, but maybe normal people have some ideas
– Radosław Karbowski continued.
Arkadiusz Myrcha himself responded to this message.
And I wonder why the benefit that some 500 parliamentarians have been entitled to for years (a parliamentary hotel or a lump sum) was only marked with our photos and names. I respect your work, but with such ‘experiments’ you are doing damage by obscuring the very ideas of public information. Nevertheless, good luck with your further work
– said the PO MP.
“You collect kilometers”
Radosław Karbowski joined the discussion and replied:
I have the impression that you still don’t understand what all the fuss is about. Citizens are indignant about this, because probably no other company can count on comparable benefits. You will receive almost PLN 8,000 for renting an apartment and you will also pay extra because you want to quickly go to work, kindergarten and daycare. Meanwhile, ‘ordinary’ people commute an hour or more to work and cannot rent an apartment in the center of Warsaw for their employer’s money. You also accumulate kilometers; last semester, both you and your wife drove an average of more than 100 km per day. I understand you have three children. It is a big responsibility and a lot of time, but you are not the only family in Poland.
Kinga Gajewska and Arkadiusz Myrcha certainly look at the programs “Mieszkanie Plus” and “Rodzina na Swoim” from a different perspective.
