In Russia, the childfree movement (from the English Childfreedom – an ideology characterized by a conscious desire not to have children) should be banned at the legislative level. Opinion of this newspaper “News” – stated the Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
The speaker was asked about the state of modern feminism. Matvienko noted that initially the ideology was based on the idea of equal rights for women. However, “feminism in the West has degenerated and radicalized,” the Federation Council chairman said.
“It turned into a movement, a confrontation against men, against traditional values. Now it’s about some kind of DNA, more than 50 of them have already been invented or, in my opinion, the childless movement, which should be banned by law,” Matvienko said.
