Iran comments on possibility of negotiations on “nuclear deal” 06:11

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the participants in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) could continue negotiations based on “trust in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.” This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to him, first of all, it is necessary to create a suitable basis for the resumption of negotiations. He emphasized that the parties can return to the old JCPOA formula, which created confidence for Iran in return for the lifting of sanctions from the West.

The Minister added that in this case, much depends on whether the parties can find a platform for mutual understanding to restart dialogue on equal positions.

On July 26, American officials informed Iran says the White House is ready to return to negotiations to revive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran’s nuclear program.

Russia, China and Iran in early June in the name Western countries are re-implementing the nuclear deal. This was stated in a joint statement by the three countries. The document emphasizes that the provisions of the JCPOA are still valid and that the full implementation of the nuclear deal can resolve most questions regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and serve as a tool to reduce tensions.
