Far-right House of Representatives politician and conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on social media that those detained on suspicion of a second assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump may be “obsessed” with military action in Ukraine.
He recalled that the former president had repeatedly promised to end the conflict in Ukraine. The congressman published a photo allegedly depicting the detainee Ryan Wesley Ruth in the republic, admitting that the man was “obsessed with the war in Ukraine funded by the United States.”
