Spain denies allegations that it participated in an operation to politically destabilize Venezuela, the agency reports European Press Sources in the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) are cited.
“Spain rejects and categorically rejects any proposal to participate in an operation aimed at politically destabilizing Venezuela,” the agency’s interlocutors said.
The Europa Press material notes that this statement was made a few hours after Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced on September 14 that two Spanish citizens, three US citizens and one Czech citizen had been arrested in connection with alleged plans to destabilize the situation in the Bolivarian Republic. According to the agency, these individuals are suspected of having links to the National Intelligence Center (CNI), figures close to the Venezuelan opposition, and of preparing a plan to kill Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Previously Argentina asked The International Criminal Court issues an arrest warrant for Maduro.
