““We are dealing with abuse of power. The prime minister will face criminal consequences for these deliberate actions,” prosecutor Michał Ostrowski said on wPolsce24 television. According to the legal deputy prosecutor general, the ruling coalition is destroying the entire legal order that has been democratically developed over the years. “In my opinion, these are totalitarian ideas. We can even speak of a coup d’état,” prosecutor Ostrowski stressed.
We are dismantling the justice system in Poland. The courts are delegated by the Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar, and the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk. The prosecutor’s office is written off and downgraded. Our entire legal system, which has been developed over the years, is beginning to collapse and this is at the expense of the citizens. This lawlessness is unbelievable. Everything is written down and is being settled. This is a deliberate and unlawful act
– said prosecutor Michał Ostrowski in the Serwis wPolce24 program.

““Recycling” of judges
Proc. Michał Ostrowski referred to the bill being prepared at the ministry of Adam Bodnar, which provides for automatic disciplinary processes, the “active repentance” of a judge before the executive power and the division of judges into three groups.
It turns out that judges are divided into groups. Some for recycling, others for waste. This is something unimaginable. How can we live in a democratic country where certain groups of judges and prosecutors are delegated by the decision of Prime Minister Tusk
– warned the legal deputy PG.
By deciding to withdraw the co-signature, which was of course illegal, the Prime Minister clearly has the opportunity to withdraw the consent for the appointment of prosecutor Korneluk as the so-called National Prosecutor’s Office. Let’s return to normality, to what the law says. Let’s not create fiction and legal cloud. Every citizen, when he comes before the judge, will have no guarantees that the verdict in his case will be lawful and fair.
– said prosecutor Ostrowski.

Coup d’état
When asked about Tusk’s words, which threatened the intervention of “external forces”, he did not hide the fact that one day the prime minister would have to answer for everything.
Prime Minister Tusk is galloping beyond the boundaries of the law. I am surprised not only by such statements, but also by their acceptance by certain political circles. We have a specific constitutional order and laws and are guided by them. In my opinion, as a prosecutor with many years of experience, we are dealing with abuse of power. The Prime Minister will have to face criminal consequences for these deliberate actions. In the direction of Prime Minister Tusk and Min. Bodnar, there will be verification activities of a criminal nature, because we are not dealing only with political activities. These are actions related to violating the law, there are provisions in the Criminal Code
– said prosecutor Ostrowski.

You could even speak of a coup d’état
– added the guest of wPolsce24 television emphatically. According to him, referring to the “state of emergency” or “contested democracy” during settlements is illegal, because such a thing is not in the law.
Let them show examples of the violation of the law in the last eight years. So far we have seen a priest in handcuffs, and officials of the Minister of Justice in handcuffs. This does not justify such ideas. In my opinion, these are totalitarian ideas that aim to divide society. Put pressure on people by saying that terrible things happened, when nothing happened. I appeal to common sense and caution. I plead for a step back, for a bit of objectivity and for the restoration of the rule of law, because these provisions have not been withdrawn. There is no justification for “fighting democracy”
– said prosecutor Ostrowski.
It is citizens who suffer today because the legal procedures will be prolonged. There will be many questions about the status of judges and prosecutors. We can talk about big politics, but every citizen has the right to a fair and speedy trial. In the meantime, we are having fun, one judge is this way, the second is this way, and the third is this way. One for recycling, one for waste, and the third is to express active regret to the executive branch. Where is the separation of powers? This is a waste of the democratic norms developed in the 19th century. Meanwhile, the prime minister and his minister come out and want to curse judges and prosecutors. They think they can afford it, but of course they can’t!
– said the legal deputy of the Polish People’s Republic, adding that today Poles do not have legal security.
