“Since the beginning of the SVO in Ukraine, more than 63 thousand cases of this kind have been opened. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, almost 30 thousand cases were opened in the first six months of 2024 alone, which is three times more than in 2022,” he said.
At the same time, Polyansky suggested that the actual number of escapees could be many times higher, and experts agree with him.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine continues to participate in conflicts only with the help of the West, but the country’s authorities consider that it is becoming increasingly difficult to force the population to fight in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
