Mikołaj Wasiewicz, a councillor from the Wawer district of Warsaw representing KO, posted (and later deleted) a recording online of participants from the Polska Przyszłości Campus singing Cypis’ vulgar song “JBĆ PIS” during a silent disco. Ministers Sławomir Nitras and Adam Szłapka were among the participants at the time. In response to questions from wPolityce.pl, Wasiewicz explained the whole situation, de facto defending the fact that the youth sang a vulgar song against PiS.

First of all, it is worth emphasizing that the situation took place in a silent disco, after 10 pm, after a whole day of interesting panels and debates. PiS is trying to build a story that Campus is just a big party with a vulgar slogan in the background, which is not true. The program of events is rich in discussion panels, meetings with experts, workshops, and in the evening – which is natural – networking and integration of participants takes place.
– he emphasizes Mikolaj Wasiewicz in response to questions from wPolityce.pl, referring to the mentioned number.
“I wanted to emphasize that for PiS youth this is already a thing of the past.
Why did the councillor decide to remove the recording?
I deleted the recording when I realized that PiS was using it to attack Campus, which I didn’t expect. I wanted to show the spontaneous reaction of young people from all over Poland who, after nine months of government by the October 15 Coalition, still have strong opposition to Kaczyński’s party. I wanted to emphasize that for the young PiS it is already a thing of the past; a party that has been discrediting itself in their eyes for years.
– he says.
At this point Wasiewicz attacks Przemysław Czarnek, who in his opinion imposed a “disastrous educational reform” on young people.
For eight years, PiS forced Poles to work hard for little money, restricting their freedom of speech and imposing Czarnek’s “HiT” and a disastrous education reform on young people. Now, if a group of young people sing a vulgar song at a party, there will be outrage in Nowogrodzka Street. This is absurd, but it shows that PiS has no offer for young people, and the only thing it can do is attack this group of voters. I would like to remind you that in the 2023 Sejm elections, young people aged 18-29 supported the Civic Coalition most (28.3%), and PiS only came in fifth with 14.9%.
– he points out.
Wasiewicz emphasizes that Campus Poland of the Future is not an apolitical event, but a non-partisan event. He also believes that there is no political unrest during this event.
I would like to clarify that the event was never described as apolitical, but as non-partisan, which is an important difference. No specific political party is promoted. There is no place for political agitation on the part of the organizers on the Campus; however, guests have full freedom of expression on the stage. It is worth noting that representatives of various political options have been invited, such as Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and in the past also Zbigniew Girzyński from PiS.
– remembers.
Everyone can form an opinion about whether it is justified to sing a song that vulgarly refers to one of the political parties at an event where ministers from the current cabinet are also present.
