Mexico establishes Ministry of Women’s Affairs 06:27

Mexico’s new president, Claudia Sheinbaum, said that a federal ministry for women’s affairs will be created in Mexico. This was reported by TASS.

According to the head of state, after a thorough analysis of the views, he decided to create a ministry based on the existing Institute of Women’s Affairs. The head of the department will be Senator Citlali Hernandez Mora, founder of the international feminist organization Internacional Feminista, which brings together left activists and women politicians from around the world.

The Ministry of Women’s Affairs will start its work on October 1.
