Israel cuts ties with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights 20:18

Israel has completely severed its relations with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). This was stated RIA Novosti Nada Al-Nashif, UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights.

He said Israel had not allowed the agency, which monitors and protects human rights, to reopen its office in the West Bank. The Israeli side also did not allow its employees to enter the Gaza Strip.

According to him, OHCHR no longer responds to visa requests and only some of the organization’s humanitarian workers are able to obtain such visas.

“We no longer have political relations with Israel, they have completely cut them off,” Al-Nashif said.
